Every photo you store, where each one is used, how much space they take and how to free some.
Every photo you upload to a product, that a channel brings when importing or that arrives in a sheet is kept in your Koalab storage. «Images», under Catalog, shows them all: which product uses each one, how much it weighs and how much space your plan has left.
See what you store
Each image shows the product that uses it, its SKU, which photo of the gallery it is («Photo 2 of 5»), when it was uploaded, how much it weighs and its size in pixels. The product name takes you to it. At the top you see the space used against your plan's. Search by product name or by SKU.

«Unused» are the photos no product has in its gallery: the ones you removed, those of products that are gone or the ones you uploaded and never assigned. Only these and the ones in «From deleted channels» can be deleted, and not those uploaded less than 24 h ago: an import or an upload by SKU may be about to use them.
Free up space
In «Unused» or «From deleted channels», if you are an admin or the owner, select the ones you do not need —or all the ones you see— and click «Delete». First it tells you how many they are and how much space you free up. They are deleted with their thumbnail and their per-channel versions, and it cannot be undone. A photo in use cannot be selected: its card takes you to the product, where you remove it from the gallery.
Upload photos by SKU
«Upload photos by SKU» hands out up to 300 photos at once. Name each file with the product's SKU, or the variant's if the photo is of one color or size: QA5-TN-04.jpg is the first; QA5-TN-04-2.jpg and QA5-TN-04_3.jpg, the second and third. If your SKU already ends in a dash and a number, Koalab first looks for the full name as a SKU: check the preview. There you see which photo goes to which product or variant, which did not find their SKU and whether they are added at the end —the usual— or replace the current ones. When you apply, each gallery is saved and updated on the channels where the product is published. If you replace and a product's photo fails to upload, that product stays as it was and we tell you.

If an upload would go over your plan's space, it is rejected and tells you how much you use. If it is an import that does not fit, those photos are not copied to Koalab: they keep showing from the channel, and here you see how many stayed that way. Free up space here or «Upgrade plan». Uploading a photo you already have takes no more space: Koalab recognizes it and uses the stored one.
Photos from deleted channels
Photos you uploaded in Koalab are never deleted because you disconnect a channel. The ones a channel brought when importing are: when you disconnect or delete it, they stop counting toward your space and appear in «From deleted channels», with the date they will be deleted, 30 days later. The disconnect confirmation tells you how many. Those used by a product published on another connected channel are not touched, and if you reconnect the channel before then, none is deleted.
Details worth knowing
- This screen never changes the order of a gallery or removes photos from it. The only thing that touches galleries is the upload by SKU, and only after you check where each photo goes.
- When you replace, the photos that leave the gallery are not deleted: they stay in «Unused» in case you need them.
- Only original photos count: thumbnails and per-channel versions take no space from your plan. A deleted photo may still show for a while on channels or browsers that already downloaded it.
