Unmatched: changes from your channels Koalab couldn't place

When a channel changes a product Koalab can't match to one in your catalog, the change waits for you here instead of getting lost.

Things happen on your channels: a sale, a price someone changed, a new product. To take it to your catalog, Koalab needs to know which of your products it is. When it doesn't, the change isn't thrown away: it lands in “Unmatched” and waits for you to say which one it is.

  1. The problem it solves

What can't be placed can't be applied. If it were dropped silently, your inventory would lie: a sale on one channel wouldn't lower the stock on the others. That's why nothing is decided on its own here, and each card says what leaving it waiting costs.

  2. Where what you see here comes from

From two places. From what your channels tell Koalab —sales, prices and stock— when it finds neither that product's link nor its SKU. And from imports: if one suddenly brings too many products it doesn't recognize, or a product with variants whose SKUs belong to several of your products, Koalab doesn't guess and leaves it here. What Koalab writes to your channels doesn't come back here.

  3. Read a card

One card per channel product, even if it changed several times. At the top, its name and photo on the channel, the channel, the SKU if it has one and “View in…” to open it there. Below, what happened —“2 units sold”, “Price 45,000 → 42,000”—, what not solving it costs and why Koalab couldn't place it.

  4. Tell it which one with “This one”

Under “Which one is it in your catalog?”, Koalab suggests the look-alikes: “Same name”, “Similar name” or “Same SKU”. Click “This one” on the right one: Koalab links them and applies what was pending. A sale lowers the stock and reaches your other channels; a hand change on a channel that doesn't lead waits for you in “Pending approval”. If it's none of them, “None of these? Search your catalog” opens a search by SKU or name. Solving is for those who can edit.

  5. The other three ways out

“Bring it in as a new product” brings only that product, with the price and stock it has on the channel today, and creates it new even if it shares a SKU with one of yours; if you already have it, use “This one”. If a channel doesn't let you bring a single product, the card says so. “Ignore this product” is for what isn't part of your catalog: Koalab doesn't ask about it again or bring it in when importing, and its sales don't lower your stock. “Dismiss just this” removes the card without applying what it brought; if it changes again, it comes back. Both ask for confirmation and, if the card carries a sale, that you type IGNORE or DISMISS: that sale won't lower your stock.

Details worth knowing

  • The reason says where to fix it. No SKU: give the listing its code, or link it here once. A SKU that isn't in your catalog: the product exists with another code or doesn't exist yet. A repeated SKU: the card names each SKU and the products that carry it; change it on one of them, on its page. Don't delete one without checking where it is listed: deleting it in Koalab also takes it off those channels.
  • “Unmatched” sits next to “Pending approval”, under “Changes”, with a badge counting what's pending. In “Pending approval” the question is whether a change gets in; here, which product it belongs to. New items also reach you by email, according to the “New unmatched items” row in “Your profile” → “Notifications”.
  • If the product got linked another way, the card closes on its own within minutes. For now, each product links to a single listing per channel: with a Classic and a Premium listing of the same product on Mercado Libre, only one stays linked and the other's sales don't lower your stock. Keep just one active, or give the other its own SKU.
